Kraut Run Lake is a lake with a surface area of 164 acres that is located in St. Charles County, Missouri. In addition to being surrounded by 270 acres of forested conservation area, the lake is administered as a public recreational facility by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

A variety of game fish are stocked in the lake, including channel catfish, bluegill, largemouth bass, crappie, and black bass, among other species. The City of St. Charles is responsible for the upkeep of Kraut Run Lake. It is accessible to the general public, and fishing is permitted all year.

The lake is public property, and you have the right to keep any fish you catch. The hours for fishing are from sunrise to sunset. Fishing is allowed from the shore, from the boat dock, or from the shore with a boat. There are no restrictions on how you fish. Neither fishing from the bridge nor from any other section of the park is permitted at this time.

The following rules and regulations are in effect:

Only artificial lures, jigs, or worms are permitted.
Per pole, no more than two (2) lines are permitted.
Per boat, just one (1) pole is permitted.
There will be no bait fishing.
Per dock, no more than one (1) boat is permitted.
After 7:00 p.m., no boats or motors are permitted in the park.
The lake is not suitable for swimming or wading.
There is no trash or rubbish allowed in the park.
There is no diving, sculling, or rowing permitted.
There is no running or horseplay permitted.
The lake is not suitable for swimming or wading.
After 8 p.m., no fishing from boats or from shore is permitted.

The lake is located around two miles east of St. Charles, Missouri, and two miles north of Wentzville, Missouri. The fishing at Kraut Run Lake is graded as fair to good, with an average bluegill size of 16.9 inches and a trout average weight of 2.8 pounds. The lake is available seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday is a closed day at the lake.
