Busch Stadium is a stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. It is the home of the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). The stadium opened in 2006 and has a seating capacity of 43,975 people. It replaced Busch Memorial Stadium, which was demolished in 2005.
The Cardinals have played at Busch Stadium since 2006. Before that, they played at Busch Memorial Stadium. The first game held in the stadium was on May 12, 2006 between the Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. Albert Pujols hit an early home run to give the Cardinals a 3-2 win against the Braves.
